Michigan 대학교 교정과에서 주최하는 Moyers Symposium은  Robert E Moyers (the former Chair of the Department of Orthodontics and the Founding Director of the Center for Human Growth and Development at the University of Michigan)을 기리기 위해 1974년부터 시작하여 42년이 된 학술대회입니다. 현재 미국 교정학회에서 영향력이 지대한 Dr. McNamara가 전세계 top level의 학자, 임상가, 교육자들을 초청하여 그 명성을 유지하고 있습니다.  2011년 Moyers Symposium 직후 Michigan 대학에서 발행한 Craniofacial Growth Series 책에 실린 김명립 원장의 공동 연구입니다.
